EXTERNAL EVENTS

External events are a fantastic way to meet new people, educate the community on the importance of a healthy diet and healthy weight and to generate new client leads. There are a number of different forums you and your team can participate in to expand your reach beyond your office. From festivals to community events to 5K races and networking events, there are ample opportunities for you to weave this type of outreach into your marketing initiatives.

Most events that you will do outside of the office will involve a cost to set up a table but there are of course ways to barter or partner with other businesses and causes. Upon booking an external event, there are some important questions you should ask before committing:

  1. What is the size of the spot (both length and width). This will help you prepare your set-up
  2. What is expected attendance of the event?
  3. How many years have they been hosting this event?
  4. Will there be any other weight-loss companies present?
  5. What is the price of the spot?
  6. Are tables provided or do you need to bring one?
  7. Is electricity provided/available or is there an extra cost associated? You might need this if you want to bring a laptop or set up a table-top BCA.
  8. What are the set-up and breakdown times?
  9. What are the load-in logistics (where is load in, parking info and any contact info you will need)
  10. Is the attendee list provided afterwards?
